Acne is a common skin disease that affects many people at some time during their lives. It is caused by factors including hormonal changes, certain medications, life style and the use of certain cosmetic products. LASER

Developments in laser technology now offer a breakthrough in the treatment of active acne and acne scarring. Laser penetrates the skin without causing any injury and thermally affects the sebaceous glands, which are often responsible for causing acne. For mild to moderate acne a single treatment is sufficient to suppress acne for up to three months or even longer. For severe acne more frequent treatments are required and continuous improvement is seen over the following few months.
To treat acne scars, lasers have been used for many years now. The laser is used to remove micron-thin layers of skin. The laser gently vaporizes the acne-scarred surface of the skin so that within weeks smoother, healthy-looking skin can be formed in its place. Very mild scaring will improve with a single treatment deeper scaring can take three or more treatments to achieve optimum results.
