From Vivian Westwood to Celine to Fendi, it seemed that all the designers at the S/S 09 shows were in agreement on one particular trend - The ‘Now Brow’. Fuller and more face framing than ever before, the concept remained the same for each look, but each designer had their own take on this brow statement.
Creative director of Hari’s salon and go-to-girl of the moment, Zoe Irwin, has taken this cult trend and in true ‘Zoe’ style translated it into a wearable and achievable look for the fashion conscious girl about town. The ‘Now Brow’ menu, available exclusively at Hari’s, takes inspiration from her favourite catwalk shows for S/S, namely DKNY, Marchesa, and Vivian Westwood. All of which saw brows return to a full but perfectly preened look that is remnant of beautiful 1960’s icons such as Bridget Bardot. This time, however, the brows seen were a little less slick and glossy, each were finished in a hue that perfectly matched the models natural coloring.
Zoe Irwin comments, “Many women struggle with their brows and I’ve noticed that tinting along with threading is a great way to bring out eye colour and enhance the brow shape. My team at Hari’s have been experimenting with different tints to come up with our fabulous ‘Now Brow’ formula which works with the hairs natural tones for a cooler modern brow - conventional tinting can sometimes create a shiny golden hue which looks quite fake.”
Clients who want to trial the ‘Now Brow’ will receive a full consultation with one of Hari’s trends trained team of experts who can advise them on the ideal colour and shape to compliment their eyes and frame their face. They will also be given a lesson in how to apply brow enhancers, brow powders or pencils, to perfect their modern, beautiful brows
